well sadly this is why we have so many liars... uh hum. I mean lawyers! LOL We live in a Sue happy nation! recall in the old days you just drove out said move your ***, and that was that.. or a few fists or choice words where exchanged. But the problem was solved?

We live at a time, where sadly its all about ME! JonnieMo nailed it... courtesy and thoughtfulness is long gone for most.

(slighty off topic, but more of the same)

Like a classic example of my home lake.. people used to wait in line to put in.. now some just cruise past, park at the top in the way, and proceed to load the fam, and get ready. mind you they dont give a crap if they are in the way, or wait their turn. Same at the end of the day. People used to pull out, drive to the parking lot and take care of business, but not these days, they pull out park at the top and proceed to be in the way, and act as if nobody else is matters and do their thing.... same same if you ask me in terms of people not caring what they do or how they affect others.

Tahoe has no such laws except you have to stay pretty far off shore like 500 ft. The Coast Guard is nearby and patrol all the time. It's easy to stay off shore. It's a huge lake so there's plenty of space and deep water.

Every summer morning you see yoga on SUP classes. BIG SUP's!! They park right in a prime surfing and water sports cove! The same cove that's been used for generations for waterskiing and any other tow sports. This started 2 years ago and I think early this summer we scared them off with our wake. All it take is a pass or two and half of them fall off their boards.
my midlife crisis started at puberty and I plan on enjoying it all the way to the end..

Our lake gets so many storms, that it would take thousands of "Wakeboats" to equal the amount of errosion that happens each time a big one blows up.

4~6 hours of constant 2 Foot rollers can't be matched by any Surf Wave

@moosex you would think Yoga SUP classes would see this as a challenge, keep your zen in the storm, so to speak. Maybe for the advanced classes. ;-)

I want to laugh at this supremely excellent joke, but I'm crying instead because you're probably correct.

Its like the coves at LOTO that have no homes or docks so us "surfers" use these coves and start early am and surf throughout the day. Then about noon time the large cabin cruiser guys who wake up from their hangovers plow into the cove throwing 10 foot rollers. Go to the middle of the cove and anchor off. We continue to surf and they start blowing their obnoxious air horns as if we are in their way. Then they leave usually chit faced around supper time, again plowing almost swamping everyone's boats!! Now who is in the wrong??

Gets really frustrating as I read on their forums and they do nothing but complain about us, but yet cove out in coves that we use from sun up to sun down.

I try to be courteous if a boat is in the cove already I stay away just that simple!!

I suspect the reason "big" boats aren't viewed with the same hatred as ours is because people figure they "naturally" create big wakes, whereas ours do it "artificially". Objectively, bystanders should look only at the water and not the boat/driver creating them. But most people aren't that objective.
