    Winterization / lube question

Hello, 1998 2200 wt direct drive, merc 350 mag Mpi, velvet drive 1:1

Here what I've completed and appreciate any comments or feedback. 500 hours, our first year and performed flawlessly all year:

Filled gas and treated with marine stabil. Ran on fake lake to operating temp. Drain oil, change oil filter and refill. Drain and refill tranny fluid. Removed all block drains, replaced. Fake a lake to normal temp, then pink antifreeze gravity fed through fake a lake until pink out exhaust. Check block drains and all bright pink.
    Other issues/questions for spring:

Unable to break fuel filter loose and didn't want to screwdriver until spring

Do I need to lube/ grease anywhere? On initial start up on fake a lake, gave it a bump of throttle not realizing in gear and some minor squealing for a couple seconds when prop engaged. First time I've heard it and sounded like something needed lubed.

Part no. For impeller for spring and best thread for impeller change?

What am I missing. Midwest winter, garage stored, no heater. Any feedback appreciated. Thanks.

Its normal for the prop shaft to squeal in the strut when in gear out of water. You need to find the shift release tab thats in the pivot of the throttle lever. It disengages the trans so you can throttle up the engine without the trans in gear.

I would have changed the fuel filter water separator filter prior to running. This way, its filled with fresh treated fuel.

Lube the rudder box. Crank the wheel all the way to port, which should extend the cable end at the rudder, spray it with a silicone lube, then rotate the wheel all the way back to the stbd.

    Clean the flame arrester

Thanks man. I figured there has to be some lubrication to do. Glad to hear a little squeal is normal, I just did not realize it was engaged. I'll have to research on the flame arrestor. All of the filters were on so tigh, I just got frustrated and left the fuel filter. I had to screwdriver the oil filter as well. Thank you.
