    boat weight

I bought a used 1997 2002W/T, and I do not have a manual. I contacted Tige', and have not gotten a response. Does anyone know the approximate weight of this boat? I know a few members have the 96-99ish 2100 and 2002 models. Maybe one of you has a manual. I am trying to find out about some tires I had to buy while in a bind towing it home. After a few hundred miles of course I had a blowout, and had to buy some tires from Wal Mart.....all they had 2 of was 205-75-14, load C; the tires on it were 215-75-14 load C....the difference in weight is only 80 pounds a tire, and they are only 80 pounds shy of the trailer max gross combined. Just trying to get an idea on the weight so I will know how long I can run these tires with no problems.

No way you can scan it?

Other info, 350, extended pylon, pretty decent shape. Needed alot of TLC. I already hit it with a little polish and scrubbed the teak out. I still need to hit it with a high speed buffer and I think the gelcoat will shine like new. The guy never did any interior/exterior maintenance, all mechanical work was done at a marina, and it had a new Holley carb, and had just been tuned at the shop. There are a few spots in the vinyl, and its used, but its new to me, and so far its been a blast. Had it out last weekend, and other than it burning a little oil....it was awesome, especially considering it only had 175 hours, and was run about once to two times a month to keep it in the water during the summer months.

What's up with that bow strap? I can't remember ever seeing one like that.

Boat looks pretty good. The magazine test in '97 was very short. Aside from the specs there is just a short little paragraph that is very gereric. Nuttin much to read

Eeeeeeeeasy on that hi-speed buffer, Gel-Coat aint like clear-coat on a car. I would use a variable speed or a slow speed orbital, or by hand. Also would recommend boat products by Mothers or Meguiar's.

I think you are good on the tires. my 06 uses the same 215/75/14's. I tried to find a spair and found that nobody stocks that size for somw reason. I went with a 205/75/14.

                        HEY DENTS

                        Hey Dents,
Does it list the fuel capacity in there? I have the same gauge issue as everyone else (as in it beats to the music or TAPS), and I can't get Tige' customer service to pick up the phone or call me back. I am guessing about 27gallon, as I put 16 in it after a day out. I am going to order one of the NAVMAN 2100s for some reassurance.

Also, has anyone done anything with the graphics on this model to kind of update the look. Once I get some color back into that black, I want to peel off the swooshy wave and Tige' logo and go with something else.

And lastly, Has anyone had their hood recovered, and what did it run in your area. Mine looks like it got rubbed alot by a tube rope or something, maybe a cat.
