I know you're looking for suggestions on things to look at, but as others have recommended I would def keep browsing.

I love my 20v but even boats that are babied and well maintained have plenty of issues - that's just part of boating. But something in that bad of shape is likely masking other more expensive/substantial problems. As boardman points out, boats' exterior appearance/condition many times reflect how well an owner cared for the internal mechanical/electrical systems.... In this case that could be a major problem.

    That said, just my opinion.

would never pay $25k for that thing. Unless of course you want to put $35k into a $25k max boat

This is a total joke. That boat is a nightmare at $10K.

        Go find a good deal!

There is a nice looking one here in "normal" condition for sale for $24K. If a average one is worth $24, that boat is best case worth $10. That guy isn't even in the right zip code.

That boat would be worth that if it were in good to mint condition. This thing sounds like a total POS and I would keep looking as there are many boats up for sale this time of year at great prices. Good luck. Hope the seller made a lot when renting cuz he will and should lose his ars when he sells it!!

Where is this at exactly? We have a 2006 20v that we are thinking about selling. If I take this boat as a gauge of the market we can get over what we paid for it!! That guy is high!

25k!? Whoever is selling this boat has some screws loose in their head. My 20v is a 2005 and was just appraised at 33k a few months ago but my boat is cherry. I did the appraisal to approve some refinancing as I still owe 10k for the boat. With that many hours and that kind of condition I would not consider it at all. I bought mine last year for 23k but ONLY because I was friends with the owner. The boat sat outside under a tarp for four years and needed some big time TLC cosmetically however, the boat was in excellent shape under all that dirt. Only had 78 hours, seats had no tears or wear, engine ran perfectly and everything works. Had to do some stereo upgrades to the boat.

For the hours and condition that asking price is way too high. Unless he is willing to come WAY down I would walk away. DONT buy someone elses problem.
