    Props

    Just ordered an Acme 653 for my '00 22i. 13 x 11.5 3blade .060 cup. Hopefully here by fri. We'll see.

Do we have a section for prop reviews?
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

That probably would be a good addition to the site. Information you'd want to include is the Tige year and model of boat, how much ballast you typically run and what your goals or primary use were (e.g., hole shot performance, top end performance, barefoot skiing, wakesurfing, etc.)

        SO Nicky,
I would guess with a prop that is that low of pitch that you run a lot of weight and are aiming for a strong hole shot?
        Be excellent to one another.

Well, there's a couple of factors coming into play.

          a) Lil' 'ol 350 mag (315hp) in a 4000lb Tige.

          b) 6500 ft. elevation at times (Tahoe).

          c) 1000lbs of ballast + people when surfing.

          d) My fat *** on a slalom ski is tired of sucking water.

The boat was originally set up for the Bay Area. Basically sea level. It still has the original 13 x 13 4blade OJ. It has never come close to the rev limiter. 11 1/2 should get me some more rpm. Jim over at Acme says he is 99.9% sure this is the prop I want considering all the factors. I ordered it direct from Acme so if I don't like it within 30 days I can try something else.

If that one doesn't work for you, try the 525. It's an 13 x 11. It'll make a huge difference over that old OJ (probably looks a lot like my old OJ).

A 1-1/2 degee jump in pitch has got me a little freaked out as it is. like I said, we'll see. Once I get it on there though, you know me, I'll have something to say.

It's really no big deal and you'll think you have a whole new motor.

                          Same as you!

                          ACME 653 (13 X 11.50 .060)

It made an incredible difference! It is the best thing I have done to the boat. You should be amazed.

You should get it today. I can't wait to hear your demo review.
