    Rzr/r20 prop experience

    What's everyone running?

Currently have 537, looks like 1433 or 1617 is the way to go for weighted running based on older threads.

We run anywhere from 0-3k ballast + people, 80% wb, 20% surf.

People have any updated experience with these props on this boat model?

      1355 ft above sea level

      Rzr is a 2014 btw

No long drives at high speed, so top end isn't much of a concern.

The 1433 is a good upgrade to the 537 and the 1617 would be the next most aggressive. Given the size and weight of the RZR and the low elevation, I dont think you will need much more prop.

Your leaning to 1433, correct? That's what i was leaning toward as well, 1617 seems like it may be overkill.

We'll see if anyone near me has either in stock tomorrow.

I love my 1433 on my 22ve, way better than my 537 for surfing. I don't like it for slalom skiing though

Found semi-local 1235 and 1617. Leaning toward 1235, concerns there are prop burn on the hull and trailer clearance... However, not for everyone.

Correction... Was running 1631. Would 1433 be much of an upgrade? It appears not? 1617 would be though correct?

The 1631 has the same 13.5 dia as the 537 but lower pitch @ 14.25. This would give you good hole shot. The advantage of the 1433 and 1617 are that they have a larger dia. This adds more surface area for better speed holding. This extra dia also counters the RPM increase you get when just going down in pitch.

Right, how big you think the upgrade is from 1631 to 1433?

The 1631 was fine out for us out of the hole up until we get within 500-1k of our max cap of ballast/people. Then it struggles a bit to plane out.

Debating if 1433 is enough of an upgrade from 1631 or if 1617 or 1235 would be better.

The 1631 and the 1433 both have a 14.25 pitch, so I see little upgrade in hole shot. What you would see is a little lower RPM at cruising speed and maybe a 1-2 MPH top end increase.

Based on the 1631 that you have, I think you would need to go to the 13.75 pitch of the 1617 in order to get a noticeable improvement in hole shot.

I had a 2012 rzr most of this season and switched from the 1433 to the 1617. I am in Denver so have the elevation issue and we normally wakeboard heavily weighted. I really liked the 1617 and you can still cruise in the high 30mph range but get way more grunt out of the hole.
