Last boating day of season?

Our last day is approaching fast, schools back, works back and the weather has gone bad. Looking at the long term forcast not many nice days look like they are coming. just a lot of rain, when I say a lot I mean Vancouver island a lot. Temperatures down to highs of 15 Celsius, with the odd sunny day. And the boat is still in the water waiting to go for a surf.
When was your last day on the water? Or when is it coming?

I would say I will be out until mid Oct with appropriate wet gear on. Granted, I will be the only person out there perhaps.

Hate to rub it in, but you asked....We can go all the way till the end of November. Best boating is in October though. Little lake traffic and perfect weather. Camping on river Oct. 6-9. Thanksgiving weekend river again.

If it wasn't for the top in Canada amount of rain we could go until then too. I can't imagine how warm the water gets in the peek months of summer, I find our lake gets warm and it really isn't that warm.

We have a trip planned for St. George, Sand Hollow Res, next weekend. I imagine that will be our last. I need to look into the wet suit thing as well. I only purchased my boat a month and a half ago. Not ready to be done. Trying to do a "man night" tonight, but most of the guys already think it's too cold. Ironic, huh?

Perhaps consider a dry suit, like the Oneill Boost. They're $400, but you could wear a snowmobile suit underneath to keep warm.

We'll make it to probably the end of October with wetsuits although a dry suit would be a nice investment....

My boat will be on the lift until mid October or later. We usually push it as late as possible with wet suits. As long as the air temp is decent and the sun is out we are shredding here in MN! The lake I live on is super busy all season, so it really starts to die this time of year which I love!!

We ride all year in North Florida. Need a wet suit January thru March - but just a 3/2 which is nothing. Lake temps in the summer 85-90

My boat is still in the driveway but I am getting down to the last day or so. I've been out until mid October before and it was a beautiful day. Really what starts chasing me off the water is the lack of daylight. You get a couple crappy weekends and it's all over.

We go late as possible. We use wet suits and booties. Usually until November. I have gone as late as December. The problem is winterizing. I used to have a heated storage area so my season could be longer.

Here is a formula we use. If water temp plus air temp is greater than 100 degrees then it is a go.

Went last year into November. Water was only 38F but it was a beautiful 60F day. Lake was frozen about two weeks later.

I will pull our course in another couple of weeks. After that it is open skiing or surfing. Surfing is so easy to stay warm. I'm in a dry suit already... but I'm a wimp. My friends are still using a shorty. Water temp was 61F on Sunday. I got 5 sets in this weekend to get me to a grand total of 50 sets through the course this year! I might make it to 60 if this excellent weather holds out! I live in Larkspur, CO and our lake is at about 7000 ft.
