    Z3 goofy wake

So i spent a few weekends playing on a z3 with avx and adding extra ballast and moving bags around. I'm curious to some other setups simply because I was not impressed with the goofy wake I was thinkn of buying a new z3 but I may just keep my rz2 the wave is awesome on both sides of my boat.

Ummmm....not sure what your setup was but the goofy wave is awesome on my Z3 with AVX. I run full on both starboard/surfside bags, 20-40% in the port/offside bow bag and 0-20% in the port/offside rear bag depending on conditions. Running taps 3 mostly. AVX at 7. 10.8-11.5 mph. Running 1-3 people onboard. Surf X bags. Typically half to full tank of gas, 10 degree list, 9-10 degree bowrise. Long pocket, pretty curl.

Yeah that looks good I didn't have anything close to that to ride on I'm gonna chalk it up that the driver has his own way of doing things and that's that, but thanks for posting for sure,

X2 on what 007 said. My 15 Z3 without AVX I setup pretty much the same, and have the same wave he showed in pic. Plenty of height and push with stock surf X bags. I would bet your friend is adding to much weight to opp side rear or front which causes a huge wash pocket from opp side. I'm goofy and love my Z3 wave while the wife has an awesome regular wave.

Make sure the bags are filling completely as the factory timer setting will be close but not exact. That way we can compare apple to apples with % full in each bag.

Here is my 2012 with fixed vx. Front pro ballast full on both sides. Rear starboard bag full and 30% in off side rear bag. Wake 9 rear bags. Only driver and one passenger It gets much better and taller with more people in the boat. This is taps at 6 with the new wake 9 taps plate.

One of the regional Tige guys contacted a pro that has a Z3 - This is how they ride -
Starboard front and Back - 100%
            Port Front - 0%
Port Rear no more then - 15%
            AVX - 3-5
            TAPS - 4
            Speed - 10.8 to 11.2

I rode with this set up Labor Day weekend and it was snice. Need to maintain a 9-10 degree roll.
