    Running hot???

On Monday at lake Powell while running back to the marina cruising about 30, the boat cut out and drop down to idle... I noticed the temp was running about 240, but no alarm. At idle, the temp was around 175. I made it back to the marina going slow 12mph with the temp about 220. I'm guessing it's the impeller, but I just had changed out in June... So, I'm not sure... Any other ideas??? Also, anybody know the impeller part number for 2006 22ve marine power??? Thanks.

    Could be a sticky thermostat.

If there were pieces of the old impeller left behind they could be clogging small passages. Could be clogged intake screen as well as trans cooler. And as stated above thermostat.

I had almost the same issues with my 2004 21i. It turns out the last owner put the wrong impeller in (too big) and pieces of it clogged the trans cooler screen. I replaced the circ pump with a nice new one and thermostat. Engine was running cool but the gauge still showed warm. Replaced the gauge and now all is well.

Thanks... I didn't have time to troubleshoot it before the reunion. So, I dropped it off at Offshore on Saturday. Hopefully they can figure it out...
