I've wanted to add blue LED lighting throughout my boat since I had it in my last one. I found these LED's on www.superbrightleds.com and figured they would work. They aren't very big but they are plenty bright. My floor lighting is in three spots: Back cabin area on opposite sides and one in the bow....I may add a second one up in the bow walkway at a later point by robbing one of these lights out of a trunk. I thought about trying to use the clear lens but it wasn't going to work. So simplest was to cut the lens and existing LED/circuit board off. I then flipped the plastic to the back and painted the black again as there is some writing on the back. Drilled a small hole for the new LED and stuck them to the plastic piece. I have yet to put them back in the boat due to the weather but I think they look great. I also got 2-2' strips to go in the side wells that will shine down on the cup holders. I'll post some pics once I have everything back in.

Pretty clever BC. I left mine in and added these below the existing cabin lights. image.jpg. That way if anyone cute doesn't like blue we can switch to white. Side note, I think I may have added too many LEDs. It's really blue.Last edited by alwayssummer; 09-03-2015, 11:16 PM.Sometimes you have to do what feels good, rather than what feels right.

I have been wanting to add a transom LED as well as some inbox ones.... Anyone set on a particular brand/style.. I noticed that website only has 1 type of underwater LED... I do like how you repurposed your in-boat lights.. Definitely on the LONG to-do list.. and seems easy enough as well... I have also seen some sick *** pics/videos where people go all out and can create mutual color light shows at the touch of their iPhones..

Here's a couple pics. I got everything installed on Saturday once I got home from the lake. The floor lights provide enough light so I'm happy and I probably won't add a second in the bow. Only slight disappointment is the blue of the floor lights is slightly off compared to the lights strips up under the gunnels.
