    New Member, Just saying HI!

    Hi All,
    New member here,
I'm looking to glean some good info here, and hopefully contribute some also!!
Recently, I became a Tige owner, with a new to me 1996 PRE 22 WVT.
I am excited to get it dialed in for some great fun on the lake, the last owner neglected it and i am going to be providing some TLC to almost all aspects of it.

              The list is long....

Prop needs to be refurbished, may be new pitch for wake board / wake serf
The Fuel injectors need to be rebuilt (way cheaper then replaced)
              Oil / filter
The exhaust hoses need replacing, and the PVC pulled out and replaced with aluminum bends
TAPS pump isn't working, rebuild / replace
Most of the gauges aren't working

......but so far here is what i have done in the week i have had it.

I have replaced the fresh water pump
              removed the Mercruser VST system
Installed an external fuel pump and adjustable fuel pressure regulator and fed the fuel rail return back to the tank (no more hot fuel to the injectors)

Then once she is a happy runner, I will install a wake tower!!

You got a lot done in a week. I noticed the lack of tower the first thing. Any prospective possibilities yet?
Need any help with some of the other stuff on your list?
I'm surprised the 96 had a fuel injected option.

It has the 454 Mag MPI Ski - (Gen VI GM 454CID 7.4L V8)
                  395 HP
                  MERC Mag 454.jpg

I am not sure which tower yet, I like the Reborn towers or Big Air, looks good, and costs are reasonable.

But it needs to run good first, looks and fun are second. we can still use the ski pylon in the mean time

Congrats on the Tige' they are awesome boats you wont be disappointed and welcome to the site. I am a personal fan of Big Air Towers I installed one on my old boat it wasn't that bad of an install. Are you local to the West Coast?

Our initial introduction to Tige' was that very same model with the 454CID. We spent a couple weeks on a lake in Northern Nevada (Lahotan). We skied the water ski coarse essentially behind the Tige' Even though Sanger and Jet boats were present. Shortly thereafter we were proud owners of our 1999 22i. Like those old school Tige's.
Looks like your located North Carolina? Or somewhere non-drought'sh? Lots of greeeeeen...

I am located in the "Mid-Coast"
                        .....the what???
In Michigan, yes lots of green, no shortage of water here, in fact the Great Lakes water level is up about 2 feet over the last 2 years, almost back to early 90's range.
I am excited about running it. I have Grown up on the lake and skiing since I was 7, but family only had I/O boats with V6 motors so this will be a change for my kids, having a real boat to use for water sports!!
