Storing a boat outside for Winter

I bought one of those air circulators/ heaters from west marine. It was about $60 and works great. If you cover it with any non-breathable tarp you risk mold growth. Also support the engine cover about 1" so air can move through there to keep moisture from building up and possibly rusting. Pray down the engine with wd-40 and let it dry, if the shop doesn't do it.

Literally spray down the entire engine or just the metal parts exposed?
