    Taps Issue 2004 22V

Having issue with the tap not seeming to work. twice the taps motor has just turned on when the boat was sitting in the shore station with the key off. Had to turn my perko switch to off to stop it. Then when I start the boat it doesn't always register at 8 on the taps gauge. When I press the taps switch to go to the 1 setting the gauge has a very jerky motion not smooth like it was before. So I got under the boat on the shore station and had some one turn the key on. The taps mad that sound like it was resetting but the plate didn't move. Has anyone experienced issues like this with their taps? Does this sound electrical? Is there a motor that may have gone bad that can be replaced? It has the hydraulic cylinder attached to the plate could that have gone bad? Any help/suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Dan

In 2004 there was a possibilty of 2 systems , early boats had Lenco, if its a Lenco its normal for the unit to park itself after about 10 minutes of shut down back to wakeboard or fully up, if its a Bennet this would not be normal and would require some circut testing.

Thanks all.....sorry for the delay response was off the grid for 5 days. Hate to admit it but not sure where to check the fluid. Was in the boat over the weekend and looked but didn't see anything jump out at me. As far as brand I assume its a Lenco.
