Anyone storing a 2009-ish 24Ve through a seven foot garage door?

We'd been storing our 2009 24Ve in a friend's inside RV storage building, which has 16+ foot high doors. Then last year we stored it in a neighbor's garage that has an eight foot door (fit fine with the tower down). For this upcoming season it appears we may have to rent a storage unit. The best one has 10x30 units at a reasonable price, but their doors are only seven feet tall.

Our boat lives on the lake all season. We only pull the trailer twice a year, so there's no convenient time to measure the trailered height of the boat.

Ewok here has a 2009 RZ2 that fits through a seven foot door, but neither of us knows how the RZ2's height compares to the 24Ve's.

Anyone here have a 2009-ish 24Ve that they store in a garage? How tall is your garage door? Will it fit through a seven footer?

Typically a 7 foot garage door opening is less than 84".Typicaly the opening of a 7 ' door is around 82" to 82 1/2". That being said whether it fits or not is dependent on the height of the bunks on the trailer, rim size on trailer and what tower you have on boat. With a 20V and E-Series tower and standard 15 inch rim Vanguard trailer my 20 V with tower down was 1 inch too tall so we had bunks lowered on trailer. It was more cost effective than modifying the garage door. When we changed out to Razor Tower from Samson we had 1/2" of clearance. I tried using a deeper drop down hitch to increase clearance which helped. First one I bought had a 7 Inch drop and I bent the heck out of it backing up my inclined driveway. I then used a antisway hitch that gave me a max of 6 inches of drop which gave me about 3 inches of clearance to the tower light.

My 09 22ve did not have a lot of room left over to get into our 8' garage, and it was never going to fit into the cottage's 7' door.

Measure yours, but I'd say no way...

Our '07 with a Samson Tower is 93-94" tall on the trailer and it just squeezes through our 8' door.

'12 22ve here that fit in my first house's 7ft door. it was tight and gf had to sit in the boat and pull the alpha z down to the seats to get the 1" clearance we needed.

I think that trailer manufacturer and tire size will be a huge factor as mentioned.

I'd be happy to swap you for the PIECE OF S$$T metalcraft trailer I have as it would get it in a 7ft door....

Unfortunately about 80% of the time that I backed boat into garage my wife was MIA which in it's own way was good because she was always paranoid that I would back into something. I actually got to point where I would unhitch from Chevy Tahoe and hitch up to my Jeep and send wife to get dinner on return from any trip. The Jeep had a better turning radius and with rear hatch open a better view. The Jeep also sagged about 2 inches or so when boat was hitched to it which helped clearance. The long and short is that we had no one to push the tower down and it did not have 2+ inches to give.

The only way to determine if it will fit n your case is to hitch it up to preferred tow vehicle, get on level ground, lower the tower and measure the height of the tower to the ground. Fasten something straight to the tower that sticks out past the windshield so you can get an accurate measurement.

Odds are it will be over 84 inches but you could be lucky. A lower drop hitch may help if you are close to clearing with stock setup especially if you have fairly level driveway. A drop hitch is about $50 and a 2 inch ball around twenty at Wally World. A 6 inch drop hitch will not give you 6 inches of drop at the high point of the tower. It may give 3 inches though.
