Ah, the season when diesel is cheaper than regular gasoline...

Happens every year. My son grabbed one of these shots, I grabbed the other, both from 1-2 weeks ago. In the meantime it's gotten even better: Last night I just missed grabbing one in Spirit Lake ID, where diesel was a full 20 cents cheaper than regular (87 octane) gasoline!

My Cummins diesel truck already gets better mileage than my wife's minivan. It's even better when my fuel costs less than hers. I sure wish this country had a better range of diesel engined options in family vehicles like they do in Europe.

I paid $2.19 per gallon for Diesel here in Texas yesterday when I filled up! We are actually paying the same as gasoline down here! But it is so much better than the $4.50+ we have paid.

I paid $2.32 for diesel yesterday, regular gas was $2.37. Diesel had been substantially higher than gas in AZ for over 10 years at the least.

Diesel gets cheaper than regular gasoline every summer around here. I've had people tell me "that never happens" so I figured I'd post some photos.

Yeah, that "never happens" around here either! As stated above by jmhatchett ^ I filled up in Lubbock last weekend for $2.19 and was excited about it! We haven't seen the diesel prices the same as gas in a few years for sure - its normally a good dollar higher...which is !

90 miles South of Lubbock here in Big Spring, diesel is still $2.60 - which is !

Our diesel is $2.65 and regular is over $3.

I bought a 2005 Diesel Excursion brand new and literally 1 month later Diesel became 30 cents more expensive than gas. It is good to finally see that purchase pay off.
              Be excellent to one another.

Filled up at 2.19 yesterday in DFW area. Just got my diesel F350 that is replacing the gas F250 I had stolen. Sure like the way it pulls the boat better! We are smart, if we were the government we would be paying 149.00 per gallon! http://freebeacon.com/issues/obama-c...49-per-gallon/

Here in OK it is 2.19 also. I bought a 2015 Gas F250 and the very next day the price fell from 3.29 to 2.39. It went under the price of gas for the first time in 8 years. I took the gas truck back and now drive a 2015 f250 diesel crew cab, long bed, 4x4. laserfish you are going to love that diesel. They drive so much better, has way more power than the gas truck and gets much better MPG than the gas version.

An excellent decision that you'll be thanking yourself for every day you own the diesel truck!

BTW: My wife reports that our local Costco gas station has diesel a full TWENTY CENTS cheaper than regular unleaded. Might pay to check Costco if you have one nearby.
