25 years is supposed to be silver, not gold.

JK, that is a beautiful boat. I would consider it.
        Be excellent to one another.

It looks good IMO, but here is the issue I see. Its kind of like the platinum edition they made a few years ago. Its more of a classic look versus the more aggressive styling that is popular right now. So that makes it appeal to a very limited market in resale. I bet its gonna be more expensive also like the platinum was so that also makes it tougher to sell because you have a larger initial investment to try to recover. So couple the higher price(likely) and the colors appealing to a limited audience and I think it would be a tough sale in the resale market.

I know there is a guy locally thats been trying to sell a platinum since last summer. He wants prime, platinum money, last I knew he was still sitting on it!! The bold bright colors are what is selling now. Thats what sells in the resale market currently. In my experience colors sell before price and options.

not for me. I would walk right past that boat at a dealership. but sure there are a lot of others that would find that to be the color for them...

glad there are lots of choices out there to pick from

if you wouldve told me the color scheme I wouldve been confused and thought it would be ugly, but it looks clean in the pics. So yes it looks nice but no I would not buy one that way brand new. Used if the price was right but like others have said the price factor would have to trump the color scheme, blue instead of the gold on that boat would justify atleast 10% more money pretty easily for me.

I've seen the metallic silver in person, similar to the scheme above. If I had the choice I would have bought it. Looked dead sexy and modern on the trailer. To each his own I guess!

X2 on this statement! Damn sharp looking boat!

This particular boat sold within a few hours of being on the dealers lot, so the comment it would be a tough sale/resale holds no flame to the candle! Check your facts

all depends on what it sold for. guy might have received a pretty good price that he couldn't pass up or he's one that has to have the most expensive of everything and wrote a check.
do agree with boardman that in the resale market, he is either going to sit on it for a while if asking "full price", or will discount more than most with a more "popular" color scheme.
gut would tell me selling on the same day, the new owner had been in prior and was positioned to buy, knowing that boat was coming in.

either way, hope the new owner enjoys the boat. whatever you think of the color, it still throws a dang good surf wave

Bingo - the water doesn't care about the color of the gelcoat.

But I wouldn't buy that color scheme either. Looks dated, or perhaps era-specific. I prefer timeless color choices that always look good, blues and blacks and reds and whites. Solids, no metallic flake , just simple and elegant that looks good today, will look good tomorrow, and never goes out of style.

Not sure if you guys have seen this color scheme in person and not just a picture. Tony brought probably that exact Z3 from the picture to the WWS owners reunion at Gray Rocks. We took it out (love taps 3). The color combo is not for me. White with sliver flake and then tan. Yes tan, it is not gold. In person and this is just my opinion it did not flow well at all. Add in that the synTEAK is a way darker brown and it just seemed off.

I was commenting on the silver and graphisc. The color combo I saw was slightly different, it didn't have the tan (but did have the teak synteak). This is the boat we saw at Performance Marine at the Tige Owners Reunion:

That boat doesn't at all look like the one above!!!
