After installing a new bilge pump in my 2004 24V, I've found that I'm no longer getting 12V to the wires at the pump. Checked at the dash switch and it is good there but can't get to the wires at the circuit breaker. It is push in (set?) so I think it is connected there. Before I cut all the wires down to trace it, is there something simple that I should be checking? Do the breakers go bad eventually? I'm not familiar with marine specific wiring components. Is there another fuse somewhere in the system that I haven't found? We haven't had the pump working since last summer when the hose broke off the pump housing.
While I was under the dash I looked back at the throttle connection and saw an unconnected purple wire hanging from the harness right behind the throttle. Is this possibly a TAPS connection. I could only see a single wire going into the throttle hub. It may contain smaller wires but again I can't trace without cutting a lot of wiring down from the tie wraps. Any ideas what this wire may be and if is important? I ask because although my TAPS plate works, my dash indicator doesn't.
Thanks,
