    FINALLY DID IT! R20

Ok I finally bought the R20 and now have a few questions?......Thanks for all the info from my prior post!

    1. What type and size anchor should I purchase? Want to be able to anchor up for the kids to swim and play.

    2. What should I use to clean/protect upholstery?

I'm a big fan of the boat bling vinyl cleaner and then aerospace 303 on top. The type of anchor will depend on what you are anchoring into (sand, rock, ect.) I've been able to hold in sand pretty well with an 8 lb.

Congrat's on the new boat, I also use the boat bling products for all the boat cleaning, I use a 12lbs Danforth anchor but the box anchor works well.

Congratulations on the good looking boat bdardyjr. We use Hula vinyl cleaner and surf away after every outing. Hula is a great product and made is in Austin Texas as well. Support texas economy all around then.

I love my Box Anchor made by Slide Anchor. Expensive but well worth it. Easy to put out and pull up and comes with a nice storage bag. I use the small size for my 24VE and it has held in some pretty decent winds. I also use Aerospace 303 for protection on the vinyl.

Do yourself a favor and just buy the box anchor now and skip buying the other anchors and then eventually buying the box anchor.

I have the small box anchor and used it for the first time a couple weeks ago on a sand bottom. The wind was blowing about 12-15 mph and it held pretty well in place, although you need to let out a significant amount of line for it to "grab".

Actually, it usually does well with much less line than other anchors. Most other anchors recommend a length of chain and a 5:1 or 8:1 scope, but the box doesn't need chain and recommends only a 2:1 scope.

                      Love my box!

Boat bling hot sauce is the best product I have found for the exterior after a day on the water, I'm also impressed with their interior cleaner and protectant... Nice boat, congrats!! We love our 2014 R20!

Box anchor with the bungee anchor rope is the way to go. The rope tends to take a lot of the energy of the waves, thus leaving the anchor firmly in place. And Boat Bling...not for the anchor.
