The dude that tore-up the ramp probibly didn't think he needed 4wd, but everyone after him does now! Sounds like the ramp I use a lot.

      Toyo

I have the 07 Sequoia 2WD, I only tow 20 something miles on occasion since the guys at the shop have big trucks. It tows and launches fine up hills, even 24V's. This is our third 2WD Sequoia, I love mine compared to my 4WD Sub. My husband also thinks it saved his life in a car crash a few years back, he was involved in a head on collision and totaled my 04 at the time.

I tow my 21i with my 1999 4Runner V6 , no issues once I installed a transmission cooler and K&N air filter. Toyota trucks are 'tanks', you will have PLENTY of pwr to tow your Tige with the Sequia..

The 2WD should increase your towing capacity. There is less vehicle weight due to all the missing 4WD parts.

That frees up more weight to pull your boat. The 2WD version should actually be a better tow vehicle for you.

I think what they ment is the 4x4 is nicer on some launches. Better traction!! I never use the 4 wheel chew untill I start slipping (which is never). Its an added sense of security.

I use 4WD all the time on the boat ramp...many of ours are almost out of the water so you have to be able to get over the edge of the ramp. Other ramps are very slippery, especially when it gets hot.

                Worked ok for us!

On two seperate occasions my truck (F-350) was in the shop and we had to pull our boat once, and our friends boat the second time with our 2005 Toyota Sequoia 2wd. I was amazed at the job it did and how effortlessly it did it. Even on the ramp it was great. The Sequoia has an auto leveling air bag system (standard) and it kept everything level and looking sharp.. our boat 4000 lbs.. Friends boat.. 6500+.. And yes my wife made fun of the fact that her car did my trucks job..

                Good Luck..
