I have to play devils advocate here and caution you guys against getting too deep into what the feds regs say. If you look into your local laws, I am willing to bet that you will find that an inland lake within the boundaries of a state's border, is not enforced by federal or CG rules. This means the state can set and enforce its own laws. The state has main jurisdiction and local counties and municipalities that border the lake, also have jurisdiction.

The exception is going to be lakes that cross state lines, like one of ours and lakes like mead that are in a federal land.

I went to bat with the game fish and parks once in SD over a snowmobile rule and what the law says. They are also the same agency and officers that patrol our lakes in the summer. When it came down to it a judge and attorney both said that the game fish and parks have the ability to interpret the law how they see fit for public safety. If the fish cop pulls you over and thinks the seats are not up to par with the law and gives you a ticket that's pretty much it. Was the craziest thing I have ever heard but also may be different in other states.

Pavati calls the rear facing seats on their AL-24 a "surf lounge".... Guess we know when to use those...

Side note: have I been under a rock or are these guys new to the game? Fully welded all aluminum wake boat? Just discovered them the other day but their stuff looks pretty good per their webpage..
