20V Open or Closed Cooling Sytem ??

Not an engine/mechanic kind of guy so these things are fairly foreign to me. Have a 2008 20V w/ MarineMax engine. Is this an open or closed cooling system and how do you tell. Currently on Tablerock Lake and there is a ton of debris everywhere in the water from the lake being up 12' right now. Not sure if I picked up something in the water or bad gas... running sluggish but not overheating so sure would like to think water in gas..

An 08 Tige would have had a Marine Power "brand" engine. They did offer a closed cooling 6.0L (i think) but not sure if the 340HP 5.7L was offered in a closed/saltwater setup. What horse power engine is it and can you post or link to pic of it?

Yesterday it died on the water.. Took a little while to get it started. Kept wanting to die. Finally got it going and it ran sluggish. Threw a couple cans of Seafoam in it to help out with possible water in fuel. Sitting at the dock running it to get that Seafoam mixed and below 2200 RPM it runs a little sluggish almost like its missing but when I push it above 2200 it smooth out considerably. Also.. It is not running hot. It is a touch below the middle line on the temperature gauge.

Looks like you have a Marine Power 340hp/ 5.7 chevy engine. Open cooling.

When was the last time the boat was fueled?

Filled up right before driving it to the lake. So it had a full tank when started running rough. Non-ethanol - medium octane (91)
