At a minimum, you need 2 actuators, 2 plates and 2 DPDT switches. Completely manual in that you have to home the deployed plate and retract the deployed plated and deploy the retracted plate at the same time in order to switch sides. A local custom did a DIY surf gate on his 247 this way.
To make it work more like NSS, TAPS3, S/G, etc, you would need a module that homed the plates based on a slow speed and hi speed threshold and did the retracting and deploying through one input.

The easiest way to do what Chpthrill is talking about is use the go surf assist system. That guy has a controller that manages the tabs and facilitates the side to side switching.
You could do it completely manually but the end result would be challenging for a seasoned boater and very difficult for a novice driver.

I actually tried to call those guys and wakemakers this weekend but they only have business hours during the week. Was curious if they have an installer here in Colorado, I'm handy, but drilling holes in the transom is a little out of my comfort zone.
Like RZR said the TT switched from Medallion based(2014 and prior) to Murphy based in 2015. Anything prior to 2015 doesn't have the software to run the AVX it can't. My guess would also be that the 2015 doesn't have the software to run the new 2016 system but that at least may be updatable.
I can tell you from the past and plenty on here will confirm, Tige has never been concerned with making new innovations backwards compatible. For the most part other manufacturers have not either. Not rocket science why, they want to sell you a new boat. Not spend engineering hours to make their new device work on a boat they already put on last years financials.

Any marina or boatyard that can install trim tabs can probably do this install too. It's not cheap but it's cheaper than a new boat, and it's really good to see the videos that show how well the wave keeps its basic Tige shape due to the convex v hull even with the taps 3 trim tabs. Taps 3 will probably indirectly boost sales for go surf assist since it's not an unknown now what trim tabs will do to a Tige hull.

Your probably right about the installer. I would just want it to be clean looking. Definitely cheaper than a new boat, makes me very interested.
