True, but it's got the supercharged Rousch 575 and weighted flat.

yeah your AVX beats that gph by a mile and then some!!!
..and that wave doesn't look nearly as good as your Z3 AVX.
to me that's not a $125k wave.
AND whats with all the old skool metal flake in all the new boats around the industry!!! Some look good but the bad look real badLast edited by MooseX; 10-12-2015, 02:35 AM.my midlife crisis started at puberty and I plan on enjoying it all the way to the end..

Just note that exhaust smell can be a misleading indicator. CO is colorless, oderless and tasteless. Engine exhaust should smell and the smell can very for different reasons and this smell is not an indicator dangerous emissions present or not.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

As far as the exhaust, as long as the RPM was under like 4k when wakesurfing, it was fine, sometimes we had steam, but no smell. We did try waiting it down more and the motor had to work hard and then we smelled it. But the optimal weight put this boat at 3600 rpm and we put a good 30+ hours on it, I drove about 25 of those hours and I would say I wouldn't feel the need of an FAE.
There is no spray issue, I would say the RZX is as good as the Z3 or better when it comes to spray while wakesurfing in the wind, and we had some strong wind for a few sessions.
I am going to be writing a full review and post in a day or two, with video and such. I can tell you that I think this boat will be in the wakesurf hall of fame along with some other great boats, it really is that good. On my Z3, I would take the AVX over the TAPS3 so far, from what I have seen, but I do plan on testing that more now that I have been on the RZX. I can tell you that the TAPS3 and the RZX are meant for each other, and the AVX won't work on this boat, where on the Z3, I think the AVX was made for it and maybe the TAPS3 won't quite make the same level of wake. I hope that makes sense.
Anyway, I like it so much, I WANT this boat to tow the EWT. Also, the plan was to only have the boat here for this event and maybe a week or so after to review. If they want this boat back, they are going to have to drive down and find it, and then try to get me out of the helm. ;-)
I will explain more later. You all know I didn't come out and say that about the ASR when it comes to surfing, and I waited for the RZX until I got good time on it. Anyway, if you ride it with someone that sets it up right (its easy, but goes against normal LISTED experience) then you will want one whether you can afford it or not.
One more quick thing. That Indmar 575SC is crazy awesome. I LOVE that motor. We are most likely going to look for a 440 for long term in this boat, cuz honestly, I can't afford the 575. But it only used < 8GPH consistently wakesurfing. I expected 10, and we had a G23 that was using a bit more with all of the 2:1 gear ratio and 17" prop. Not to disparage the G, thats a beautiful boat, but that 575 was so much fun.
I bet with the right prop and a 440 the RZX could surf for 5-6, and I can't wait to find out for sure.
More to come, I have a lot to say, this was just supposed to be a blurb.
This is a sneak peak of a few pictures. Pay attention to the mirror ones. Those of you that are used to driving, you know that the wave always looks small and distorted in the mirror. Not this boat, its pretty massive and well defined. The one picture with the spray is in a strong wind, no one is ducking from the spray, it was fine.

nice wave! the side shots tell the story. def' a taller wave than most boats if not all. not make it bigger ragboy haha
Your right the 575 is too much for my pockets. Gas is close to 6 bucks a gallon on our lake. I need Z3 AVX type mileage...
I can't believe you 'quoted' rags post and all those pics lol...Last edited by MooseX; 10-16-2015, 06:38 AM.my midlife crisis started at puberty and I plan on enjoying it all the way to the end..

@smith The supra makes a nice wave for sure, the main complaint for people that don't like the supra wave, is that its rolled over and doesn't have a lip. Some surfers call that a one pump wave. Most surfers prefer at least a 2 pump wave, where the Z3 with AVX is about a 4 pump wave. What does that mean?
Go to the back of the wave where you would start to gain speed for an air or some trick like that, maybe an ollie oop, whatever. A rolled over skimmy wave you can only get one pump in before you can throw your trick because the lip is all the way back.
The RZX is farther back than the Z3, but it has a much more defined lip.
The Z3 is like a sassy teenager, lip to spare.
Where the RZX is gaining my favor over the Z3 with RZX is as follows:
1. The push/power is insane and the hook is so pronounced, you not only can ride far back, but far OUT. One rider marveled at how from the back they were cruising without pumping or anything and said they could easily see the FRONT of the boat, cuz they were so far out. That power helps you recover from tricks, but also helps you gain speed for them, not needing as many pumps to get the same speed.
2. The transition is, well, its glorious. I don't know how else to describe it, and when you ride it setup right, you will understand. I have so much more to say on this later. The transition is MONEY.
3. Its bigger, and gets bigger with more weight. The Z3 has a ceiling, there is a point where it doesn't get bigger, it just gets meatier with more weight. If you have a Z3, you know what I mean.
The bottom line is that the Z3 with AVX is still a great wake, that hasn't changed. As far as the RZX, whether you can afford one or not that wave is an evolutionary step above the Z3. I am sure (don't quote me on this) tige is going to be finding ways to bring that hull to other boats in the future.http://wake9.com/

damn that's high praise.
Just to be clear these are Taps3 boats...dumb question right
let's see a videos ragboy. One video I'd like to see is another video side shot WITHOUT a rider messin' it all up.
Too bad they can't price these top tier boats better. they'd sell a sh*tload more boats. This over 100 grand stuff is insane in todays economy
I told my buddy about this boat and price..he laughed and said he bought 50 acres and a full on farm earlier this year in Montana for half that lolLast edited by MooseX; 10-16-2015, 05:35 PM.my midlife crisis started at puberty and I plan on enjoying it all the way to the end..
