Mastercraft's Gen-1 was basically a trim tab setup and results were lackluster. I think a surf system is going to need much further articulation then an actual trim tab system offers. Look at the Supra and MB surf system for now and hopefully we will get some shots of the TAPS-3 system in its deployed state. I think we are going to see the plate reaching farther then the TAPS plate and what any normal trim plate will.

Our dealership received the third one out of production. We sponsored the Wake Up wakeboard competition along with Tige and used the RZX as the tow boat for the event. When the competition was over we delivered the boat to the new owners after a quick surf sesh with them!GOPR2368_1437948264235_high-01-1.jpg

HOLY CRAP that boat sits tall!!!!! Their heads barely get to the rub rail, would hate to have to climb in and out of that while on the trailer.
My life's journey is not ending up looking pretty, its sliding in broadside, used up, worn out, screaming "What a Ride"

WOW, that is a huge bit#h!
My dealer said it's going to be a pain on which one to bring in for the RZX, taps 3 or the AVX? I personally would rather have the bigger wave then Taps 3.
Also said that they're not getting rid of the ASR.

I agree I would like to see them deployed also, the actuators don't look any long than the taps actuator in these pics. I think the shape has as much to do with it as how far they deploy. Also if they are going to list the boat rather than just cause a ton of drag unlike some other surf systems, they may not need to deploy as far. I am very interested to get more information in the near future

On the Taps3 Z3 I tested you select left or right on the TT just that simple. When surfing left hit right and it instantly moves. You will feel the boat shift a bit and bam your wave is extremely clean instantly on the other side. The raptor 400 doesn't bog down at all and there is no change in speed rpm etc. The regular side wave has just as much height as my 15 without AVX and a ton if not more push. The goofy side which we only played around a bit wasn't as tall but had a ton of push and I've never seen a wave so clean! That is with just 2 adults in the boat. I would love to see this thing loaded down!

They have changed back to the 2249 prop or at least the model I was on, for this year due to several of us on here asking for a little more top end. I didn't notice a difference in hole shot compared to my 15 with the 2419 much larger prop.

A non listed boat appeals to me a whole lot more after riding behind it. We like the fast change idea and still have a great quality surf wave. This way the kids aren't screaming in between rider changes!

So they are using the raptor 400 as the base model on this boat? That's a big boat for that engine, good to know it can handle it.

I believe that JLGs reference to the testing on the 400 Raptor was in the Z3 that he tested.
