hi guys,
I'm new to this forum and to boating. with that out of the way, here is what i got myself into. i bought a 2000 tigé 21v, my purchase was based on price and the fact that i wanted the seating arrangement it offered, didn't know much about anything else.
im an auto mechanic by trade, so i know which end of the wrench to hold!
here is the list of what I started with:

well that doesn't seem to be working so here goes a list,
bought a core engine and rebuilt the block and heads
-used the intake manifold of the original engine which was seized(salt water really did a number on the engine cooling jackets that or lack of maintenance!
-the core engine came with exhaust manifolds and half closed cooling system(bonus) at $600 CDN i thought that was a good deal
-bench tested the starter, fuel pump, cleaned out all the coolers and lines( luckily they were all good)
-replaced steering cable and brackets(i don't see how its feasible to do when the engine is in.
the core engine was carbureted, i reused the MPI manifold and throttle body after a good thorough cleaning, i replaced the seals input and output shaft seals on the transmission and V-drive, once all the engine and components were checked and cleaned, i dropped it back into the boat, now for the harness(corroded) in some not water proof connections,
-verified signal power and ground to all my gauges
-cleaned up the wiring under the helm, i need an rpm gauge and a depth finder, anyone?
this is what the boat looks like now.
i still to put it in the water, do you guys have any tips, things i should look for?
