    1999 Pre2200i W/T weight

Does anyone know the weight of a pre2200i W/T (1999).

I'm currently looking at a 4000lb capacity lift and wondering how much leway I have. My boat currently has a tower and with a full tank of gas and gear, I'm afraid I am pushing the weight limit.

With a full fuel tank on a tandom axle trailer my 99 2200i with tower and moderate gear of board weighed 4,800 lbs. I took it to a certified truck scale and unhitched. Obviously boat alone would weigh less once the trailer was factored out. I believe the brochure has that info for you.

I have a 6000lb lift that my 1999 2200V hangs in. I wanted to have enough lift for when I get my new Tige

With a full tank of gas and gear you will be under 4,000 but not by much. Totally dry weight on my '98 2100 is about 3,000. I would say you would be fine with a 4,000 lift as that is manufacture rating.... it will hold more than that but they will rate them very low to stay on the safe side.

          3700 lbs dry.
          35 gal gas @ 8lbs p/gal (I think it's closer to 6)- 280 lbs.
Tower- What tower ya got? Old factory Metcraft - ~70 lbs.
Misc crap- (vests, ropes, stereo, ect.)
Obviously real close but probably OK. They do under rate them.

BTW- Sweet ride Dude! When can we see it?

            Thanks everyone.

Nickypoo, Is that 3700lb dry weight include the gas, gear, old metcraft tower (thats what I have), etc... or do I need to add those things to the 3700lbs.

BTW, need to take some pics and post them

wow...Just received an email from Tige. Take a look.

Thank you for contacting Tige directly and the boat weighs in at approximately 3400 lbs dry so I think that with a 4000 lbs lift you should be ok. Please let me know if there are any further questions.

Sounds like I should be ok....wish I could afford $6000 for a brand new 6000lb lift....I wouldnt have to worry about it

I had two 6000lb lifts installed for $4,300 total. My lifts are Boat hoist USA brand. These are boat house lifts that are attached to the steel beams in my boat house. What brand/application are you looking at that costs 6k?

                      Where are you located?

That might be a big factor for the cost of the Hydro hoist.

Well, that's what they rated my boat with as well and I can tell you that a 4000 lb lift doesn't cut it.

I have a '99 2100v Limited. By the time you figure fuel (38 gals) and gear (the downside to lots of storage) you're going to be pushing the limits of the lift. I own a 4000lb Shoremaster lift and it will lift my boat, but it's a struggle. It's not a hydrohoist, but it would really suck if you had to empty out your boat before the lift could lift it.

I look at it like towing capacity. Would you ever buy a truck that was rated right at the weight of your boat w/ trailer?
