Thanks for correcting my speed limit and throw cushion errors.

I thought PFD was required when skiing. Personally with some of the wipeouts I had when slalom skiing I would never go with out one. My daughter wiped out and hit her ski with head and wasn't knocked out but she was woozy for a few minutes and IMO without vest she would have been in trouble.

I thought so too, but the way it reads I guess they aren't. I would never go without one either... I do have some buddies that surf without them, and thought they were being rebels... Guess now maybe not so much

Money pity - yes typo. Been busy lately and replying at stop lights trying to reply promptly.
I agree that no one should ever be behind a boat without a pfd. I have been knocked out a few times. I did get stopped about a month ago by the Kimberling Bridge surfing while wearing a pfd vest and nothing was said. He stopped cause it was two of us and he didn't see the mirror.
I will contact a friend (retired TRL water patrol) tomorrow ask him about it.

It is one great lake in the Midwest. Nice super clean cool reservoir water compared to the mud bottom lakes in this neck of the woods. Well worth the 10 hour ride from here. I only hope you and family enjoy it as much as my family and I did over the years.

Over the years I have watched it get more and more commercialized down by the Dam and by Kimberling City but the further Northwest you head it feels like it did when I was 15 or so some 40 years ago with my parents and cousins. Don't miss the glass house on the cliffs outside of Kimberling.

Since 1997 my family and I hit either TRL or BS until 2009 the year before I sold 20V due to disability. We went down in June and August each year and sometimes we sneeked in a July trip. Put around 500 hours on my FourWinns on these lakes and 25 on my Tige.

TableRock is nice because you can stay at resorts or Campgrounds close to the water while Bullshoals, and Norfolk have a much deeper setback for resorts than TRL where for many you need to drive from cottage to water.

If you are looking for resorts to stay at in the future PM me and I can recommend three on TRL that we liked and one on Bullshoals. If you want to spend big bucks on a deluxe resort Big Cedar is the place Many times $

My sister and significant other and friends will be on Bullshoals at BlackOak resort near Oakland, AR the same time you are on TRL. Bullshoals is smaller and less commercialized with IMO smoother water due to how lake and large back coves are oriented . There is nothing like a 5 mile or more straight run surfing or skiing without any other boat wakes .

Enjoy and make sure you pack the coolers. It is supposed to be hot the week you are there.
