    Navigation TT2

What navigation brand is compatible with the new TT2? Does it install in an SD card slot or does it need to be down loaded with a USB from a laptop or by the dealer?

I have a new Z3 and want to explore some new lakes without risking destroying the running gear.

    Thanks.

Mine has the ability to record a trail of where we have been but I was tol it costs about $1500 for the navigation map program.

I don't need it that bad

      Thanks for the info Tomp.
Sounds like a dealer only up grade if it coast $1500. If thats the price I wont be doing it either. I was hoping their was an SD card slot some place and I could order a Navionics SD card and install it myself. Guess Ill have to call my dealer to confirm.

That's my plan if I can't get it on the TT2 for a reasonable price.

I used google maps a few times on my phone, I need it to dodge all the shallow areas while surfing.
It works but makes it a multi tasking challenge and the screen is hard to see sometimes.

I spoke with my dealer today. He said, "All I need to do is purchase the correct Navionics SD card for the lakes I want and insert it in the back of the TT2." I took a look at the back of the TT2 from under the dash. There's an SD card slot on the TT2 under a cover plate sealed with two Allen screws and a gasket. I ordered the Navionics SD card, It'll be hear tomorrow. Ill let you know if and how it works after I install it.

I installed the Navionics HotMaps Premium SD card. It works perfect . All I had to do was remove the cover plate on the back of the TT2 and slide the card in and put the cover plate back on. 10 minute job.

I overnighted it from Amazon, $134.00 for the East Cost Lake maps. Definitely not a $1500.00 dealer install.

My brother-in-law has a card for his fishing boat. Put it in the back off the TT2 and it worked. I know what I am going to ask for Christmas.

Been doing a little tubing this weekend...
