That's because we didn't know that you would be putting the largest ballast bags ever made into your boat and that your rubrail would be under the water!
WELL THERE YOU HAVE IT FOLKS, OUTBOARD TRIM TABS - I SAID YEARS AGO THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE FOR SURFING ON THIS FORUM AND SOME MADE SLY COMMENTS TO MY MEMORY, I WISH I COULD FIND MY POST. I scanned through pretty quick, trying to get caught up on my lunch break as I just saw the release in my feed on FB. I will try to run a search when I have more time. I would love to find it and revisit all the comments!
I guess I should've patented my idea.
My buddy has a new Supra with their Swell System and his surf wake is ridiculous but he also added additional ballast.
I was planning on retro fitting some outboard trim tabs on my Z1 to see how it would've worked but scared to drill holes. Now, I may rethink the idea for a winter project.
I was looking into doing this a few years back. There were many discussions about this. When I was looking for a boat MC X45 had one at the dealer that had the Lenco trim tabs on it. The salesman said they worked a little however there was still a need for lots of ballast. Glad Tige is stepping up to the plate, no pun intended, and moving to the next level. I will be so interested in how this performs in the long run. Looks like it switches quick and the push is there too.
Guess there will be a lot of us looking to retrofit our boats.
On a side note, it looks as if they cut down the walk through area, making that area a little more like the G23 and more friendly to get through. Instead of a cooler in the rear, they have stuck with the board storage which I think is an excellent idea. We use the rear cooler on our G alot, but having a nice space to store more delicate surf boards would be preferred...only some boards will fit in the lockers.
I know most people will disagree with me, but I would really like to see the Alpha Z tower replaced. It just seems a bit too low and the cast towers seem to have issues with the threaded inserts and shed coating easier than the others.
The page is back up now but i think Tige is pulling one on us... It's called "the catwomen" now???
Says on the page its got a "potent turbo charged engine" interesting. RZX being powered by a ford ecoboost possibly? Hole shot would probably be awesome.
You know that every time you find our "hidden" web pages, we have to remove all content and start over, which is delaying the release of this "Catwoman/Superman" boat that you all like to call the RZX. I would use a staging site to build this page, but we are currently developing a new tige.com. Now, while I get this page up & going on our current website, go scour the internet and find the new website.
We know you're excited (we are too!), but patience, friends, patience. Good luck & happy hunting!
