This is just my opinion...
If you are choosing between, do you want side to side transfers and level waiting? That is really the issue.
The AVX out of the box switches in maybe 10 mins but gets amazing fuel economy and puts out a amazingly adjustable and configurable pro wave.
with the TAPS3 it will take more fuel, it will not take MORE weight in the sense that you need bigger bags, but you do load both sides at the same time, so it RUNS with more weight. Fuel economy will be less on the T3, but I bet not as bad as other manuf. due to convex hull. That is untested, though.
I would think if you still wakeboard a lot and move between sports, T3 would be a good choice.
Lastly, I am not really fond of the side to side, level weighted systems in general. So I would always choose the AVX, but that doesn't mean I think the T3 system is sub par. It seems to be as good or better than any other I have seen.http://wake9.com/

For our family, 4 out of 5 of us are goofy (yes, I'm the regular one) so we like the idea of the S3 system. I don't mind the time to switch on our Z3, as I've installed two fill pumps per side, and also have a cross-over pump. But I'm always looking for ways to improve our setup, and the only thing that I'd like to minimize is the goofy list. We have to list more on goofy than regular, so ideally i'd like to reduce that angle. We've demo'd the Bu 23LSV probably 6 times (2013, 2014, and 2015 models) and just can't get the wave the way we like it without adding bags in the cabin and in the bow. The local pros and advanced amateurs in our area put bags in the cabin and bow, unless they have a boat full of people (the 23LSV is popular in my area because the dealer does a lot of promotion and sponsoring of pros - and we have a lot of pros around here). But I just don't want external bags, that is a deal-breaker. So I'm pretty anxious to demo the S3 system on a Z3, and see if we can get the wave the way we like it with all ballast hidden. If we can, we will choose the S3 option over the AVX on our next boat.2013 Z3 - Electric blue and black

Tige Thanks for listening as this is a huge improvement over previous models and job well done!! Yes my 15 is outdated, but I can live with that for now. Hopefully a new Taps3 boat is in my near future! Going to buy a lotto ticket now!

My wife is a great goofy rider and one of the best of our group/skill level. If the AVX didn't throw just a stupid amazing goofy wave I'd be temped by the quick switch because its tough when she is the only goofy rider on the boat. I remember "back in the day" before I owned a Tige, we'd all surf regular and then all surf goofy because it took a very long time to move ballast etc. with just a couple of cigarette lighter plug in pumps. I think it was good for me to ride both sides. Funny how 12 minutes to switch from one side to another seems so slow for people now days.
I think Taps3 is very good for Tige, you have to factor in the "level boat while spouse/friends are driving" factor into the popularity of these kind of systems.
