It looks like is accomplishing exactly what the Supra plate does. Supra just uses a vertical plate that goes straight down to create some crabbing. Nautique's system goes down and to the side both. Malibu's does this by going to the side. MC Gen 2 accomplishes this by going straight down, but with smaller vertical plates to accomplish the same thing. I would like to see it in the deployed position to verify.
It definitely is a plow. But I think relative to the power needed to thrust a 7000 pound ballasted boat through the water, a 16 inch plow is not that much more resistance. Just enough to change the way the wave comes off of the hull. I am intrigued. There will be some loss of efficiency, but not as much as one might think.Be excellent to one another.

Stumbled upon this tonight, looks like an early preview to the RZX, most of the videos aren't functional yet unfortunately

This is definitely interesting. I am sure curious about this RZX.
I thought the boat at the EWT tour was an RZX, but if you notice from Ragboy's pics, it has the Z3 on the side...
Having said that - I think Tony from Tige was driving around in a different '16 boat. It had more of a blue color to it...

I do not think this will replace the asr. I think this boat will be priced right next to the asr unfortunately and likely not an rz2 replacement.
The asr surf really well and boards incredibly well. Not to mention it is one of the best handling boats you will ever drive. It's funny how the G series gets so much praise for its surf ability when the ASR wave is identical. Different than a Z wave for sure but still tons of fun and different dimensions. That said, the asr is a Wakeboard boat first and foremost. I think the rzx will be toted as a surf boat first and recreational wake boat. Idk for sure. Hopefully this boat is priced right for the performance class it fits. Pretty tough to beat the current rz and Z series surf wakes.2016 Tige Z3, 2014 Tige Z3

On a side note, it looks as if they cut down the walk through area, making that area a little more like the G23 and more friendly to get through. Instead of a cooler in the rear, they have stuck with the board storage which I think is an excellent idea. We use the rear cooler on our G alot, but having a nice space to store more delicate surf boards would be preferred...only some boards will fit in the lockers.
I know most people will disagree with me, but I would really like to see the Alpha Z tower replaced. It just seems a bit too low and the cast towers seem to have issues with the threaded inserts and shed coating easier than the others.Last edited by Dandy; 07-23-2015, 04:27 PM."I think I am pretty smart for an idiot"
