I have heard of a few people that have 2013, & 2014 that have had transmission problems. I know one guy that is on his 3rd transmission this summer and only had his boat 3 total days since September.

Scary. I think I'll wait another year or two and let other people be the beta testers before I upgrade....

        I have 50 hours on my 2015 Z3.

I haven't had any issues with it at all. My only gripe is that it "clunks" a bit while going into reverse... Other than that its great!

I've driven a '15 Z3, Z1, and R20, and all of them "clunk" louder when going into forward or reverse, as compared to my 2013. Must just be a characteristic of the new the Indmar drivetrain.

That's what the Indmar Rep in the Tige Factory told me.... I was thinking if that limits the life of the tranny...

Does Indmar offer an extended warranty? Sounds like it may be worth it.

They offer a 5 year warranty only if you choose their insurance within the first 30 days after purchase. 3 years otherwise. We passed.

I got a extended warranty through my finance company when purchasing 14 Z1. I think it was $3000 for 2 extra years. So I'm covered until 2019, which will probably be trade in time.

Everything in that paper speaks of "engine". I wonder if it covers the transmission and v-drive too. Guess we'd have to see the fine print, the actual policy docs.

I'm getting the impression that the engines are solid, but perhaps the transmissions are not.

Knock on wood, but 75 hours on mine and no issues. I think it is actually quiet when going in and out of gear. They are very touchy or sensitive also when engaging in gear.
Did my break in oil service around that 25 hour mark and didn't see much in the oil.
