    Another FAE evaluation/endorsement

    I know it has been said and done many times but after spending the money on an FAE for my 08 Z1, I am thrilled. Got it installed last week and gave it a test go on Saturday. I cannot believe how quiet the boat is now. I can carry on a conversation at normal volume level with someone in boat while I am surfing. Best upgrade I could have done for my stereo. Having a smaller boat with not the best surf wave I surf very close to the boat a lot as I learn and get better. No more exhaust smell at all!

    Love it - worth the money!

    +1 rode in friends Malibu recently, could not believe the fumes. My FAE takes care of it all. The quiet is a bonus IMHO. Great great product.

      Never had a problem with fumes in the RZ4, the old PRE2000 would have benefited from a FAE though.

          It took me under two hours. The toughest part by far is having to cut and drill through the round bars that attach to bottom of swim deck. They recommend a hacksaw - I highly recommend a hand grinder with a metal cutting blade - much easier. Then came drilling the holes for the quick release pin brackets. I need these because I remove my swim deck every time I use the boat and put it back in garage. A drill press would have been so useful. You have to drill through thick metal into a rounded surface. You can imagine how the bit slips off. A little perseverance and it all worked out nicely though.

          Get that baby on your boat - you'll be glad you did.
