Need some help... Have a 2008 20V... Both batteries are good. Tried jumping the main battery from the Aux battery. Fuel pump comes on but starter won't engage - no sound. Help !!

Abort !!! Just realized my wife left the boat in gear and shut off the ignition when she drove it last night !! Haha -
I sat tied to a dock at a marina one time with the same issue. We pulled another boat over, tried jumping, tried all kinds of things. We worked, soaked with sweat for about an hour. I was a total noob in my first year. Embarassing..... Glad it worked out!

Been boating for 35 yrs, all types of boats. A couple years ago on a larger twin diesel boat I had I couldn't get one engine to fire. Took me 15 minutes to realize that one of the gear levers was just out of neutral...
Look for the obvious things first!Comment
