For those that store their boat outside

What do you do with your tower speakers? Right now I have the bimini over them but do you guys just leave em on year round and accept the fact that they might get a little wet with enough wind/rain?

My cover came today so it's the first night my boat has to spend outside...

My boat sits in my driveway for the 6 months a year it's home. When I'm not using it I pull a 15x30' tarp over the whole thing. I do this so I can leave the cover off a bit and let boat air out or dry if we have recently been on it. I also do it to keep my damn cat out of it.

When we leave our boat outside (only in the water) if it's raining we take them down. But we have the R20 which seems like the speakers come off with one easy screw.
I would never leave a tige outside in the winter

3 years stored outside in the summer. Lots of rain when on the lake and in the driveway. Speakers are not covered and work fine.
Hell I was in a poncho last sunday driving and my Brother in law was surfing. Pooring rain, speakers rocking.

Winter storage is inside.

I trailer my boat 115 miles with the last 15 being a winding mountain dirt road to the lake I go to.... I only have my speakers on my boat when I am on the water.

My winter storage is in the shop and I plan to wrap the speakers in garbage bags or something... During the summer it stays outside beside the house and gets the seats all opened and the cover put on once the carpet is dry... I'm not at all worried about rain on the speakers... They're called Wet Sounds right?

id consider a pair of Suitz. This will add some protection, especially, for the finish.

Chp, I have a pair of Suitz on em....i knew eventually they would have to be outside so I grabbed those a while ago....just wasn't sure if the bimini was enough or if I should even worry about having the bimini on at all to help protect em

I would use the suitz and they should be plenty. My speakers are never wet with them on while at the lake when it rains or downpours. I store indoors year round though. I wouldn't want the bimini up all the time in the elements, sun, wind, etc as it will take a beating. The biminis are pricey to replace!
