    2008 22Ve Anti-Pooling System for Mooring Cover - help!

So I finally untangled the poles and webbing for the anti-pooling system on my boat - I can't for the life of me figure out an elegant way to use the anti-pooling poles / straps. It's pretty evident that the black straps are the correct length and due to the built-in loop are pretty clearly designed for use with the cleats. However the white straps seem WAY too long and I can't figure out where they are supposed to go exactly. Right now I have them wrapped around and around all kinds of stuff - I'd post a picture but its too embarrassing.

Anybody have a good picture / diagram / description / modification suggestion?

    Thanks.

I can't help you with what you are talking about but this may also be a solution for you. http://www.tige.ca/wp-content/upload...f39df_4agh.jpg You attach a line to your tower to hold the cover up.

Ha ha. I will be interested if anyone knows how to "correctly" use the poles/straps as well. I didn't even know what they were for the longest time...

White ones go the the grab rails in the front.

I hear ya Lee - however they seem like they are ~4x too long for that. There is a pre-sewn in buckle on those white straps - and when I put them straight through the front grab rail, said buckle is very far in front of the rail. I suppose I could just cut a huge chunk out of the strap and sew it up shorter... Do you have a picture of how it is supposed to look?

They go on the far end of grab rail in front then pull strap to tighten....i do it every week and easy as pie. Im building a garage starting next week though.

My pooling poles are the correct length to the grab rails. Are you running it over the windshield? If you are running under, I can see how the pole would go too far forward and you have excess white strap

Edit: mine is for my 24v not a 22ve.

I think I figured it out - I'm only supposed to use ONE pole / pooling system, correct? For some reason my boat had 2 and I was trying to use one in the bow as well. I guess that is unnecessary right?

Not sure mine is a few years older but on mine there are two poles connected together with a black strap. One pole should be placed in the rear cabin floor, the other in the bow walkway in front of the windshield with the strap connecting the two pole running over the winshield creating a teepee along that strap that causes water to run off the sides. The rear pole has two black unadjustable straps that loop over the rear cleats. The front has two white straps with buckles that are adjustable that connect to the grab rail.

If your two poles are not connected, you have a different system than mine.
