New Tige Owners... with a problem

Hello Everyone. Our family just purchased a new to us 2013 Tige Z1. So far, we have been loving it except for the few small bugs that we are slowly working on. Nothing major but still a pain. I like to do most of the small work by myself since the dealer is about an hour away.

One problem that surfaced last weekend was the front cooler draining water onto the port floor. Upon further inspection, I found that there was no drain tube on the drain fitting!! Tige just forgot to finish that part of the build. When I phoned the dealer about the issue, they said that its well known but don't have a definitive fix for it. After searching on this board, I have not found that much info on the problem - except for a few posts. One post suggested drilling a hole in the floor under the cooler and putting a tube into the hole where it will drain into the bilge. Does anybody have a definitive fix for this problem? Kinda scared drilling on the new boat.

    Thanks

We have an "AO" Cooler that we just drop in there, fits perfectly with a little room left over.

I had this same problem and my dealer fixed it. They should be able to take care of it for you. On mine, the tube was there but was leaking at the drain fitting.

In my case there is nothing under the drain. No tube, no hole, just carpet! The dealer wants me to bring it in and he will fix it (for a price of course). I have my boat on the water and don't feel like taliking it out.

Which AO cooler do you have? I have been looking for a cooler to drop in there.

We use this one... http://www.amazon.com/AO-Coolers-Coo.../dp/B00ESYAL62. We bought the 24 pack, Navy blue version for around $40. We bought one four years ago at the L.A. Boat show, liked it so much we went back the next year and bought another. We load it up at the house, take it to the lake, drop it in the boat cooler in our Z1, and we are good to go. We liked it so much originally because its so flexible, unlike an old igloo cooler that wont budge. Now we like it because the ice stays all day in it. BTW - I have no vested interest in AO coolers, just a satisfied customer.
