It sounds like I am having the same issue with my 15 z3 it is at the dealer know and hopefully it get fixed. Only difference is mine just quit and will not start it is locked up
This is an electronic trans , and quite possibly could be electricle , they need to monitor the shift solenoid while under way and see if it dissengages.
If it's a '14, which it should be if it's M57 engine, the trans is still shifted with a cable. I know this because the only issue I have had in the last year & 60 hours on my '14 was the shift cable being out of adjustment just enough to intermittently cause the engine to not crank since neutral switch was indicating in gear.
I was told today by Indmar to take it to my local Malibu dealer for the repairs. They are an Indmar dealer and closer to me. That makes me feel a little better because I'm trying to get a Wakesetter anyway. If I make a deal on the Malibu tomorrow thanks for all you guys info about Tige this is a great place and you guys have good info about these boats. Thanks
Deal on a malibu? HAHA LMAO! They are overpriced, and as stated run the same drivetrain as a Tige. (Must be paying 30k more for the shag carpet in them) I saved that 30k and bought a harley with it! If the dealer treats you right and has good after the sale customer support then maybe its the right move. It sucks that your bad dealer has given you that bad of a taste on the Tige brand. I travel almost 6 hours to a Tige dealer that treats me good and wouldn't have it any other way, but that's just my experience.
At least indmar is stepping up finally and allowing you to go local for service. Hope the dealer is notified by indmar, and is willing to give you the service needed, instead of taking advantage of you and trading for the X brand in turn making more money off you.
Hope all works out and you get a boat either way before lake season slips away. Again just my and no way am I attacking you as you are the one that has to be happy.
sorry to hear about your luck man, Im sure you will like the new boat. I had to sell my RZR a few years ago because of all the problems (20+ weeks in the shop, and 40+ repairs) I had too. I have had a G21 for two seasons now and it hasnt been in the shop once, very happy with my decision.
