Ok, since all that work didn't solve this problem, could you be more specific so some of the experience dealers and mechanics can possibly steer you in the right direction. So you say that it cuts out, what exactly cuts out, does the engine stop or bog down or loose revs? Does the boat start to accelerate and then slow down as the engine revs up quickly until it hits the rev limiter? When this problem happens, what are you doing with the boat? What ballast bags are used, and do you have more than factory standard ballast? What is the taps plate setting? What depth is the water, got any seaweeds close to the surface? Do you get any alarm buzzing from the engine panel? What happens to the engine temperature? What happens with your oil pressure?

If you can describe in as complete detail as possible so we might be able to help you we would be glad to.

Also, sorry again this boat is not cooperating with you, I hope we can get it sorted out.

When you accelerate the engine revs up like it wants to go but just doesn't. It happens at different times yesterday I unloaded and went to go and nothing Motor just revs. I pull back to neutral and go again this time it runs fine for about 5 mins then at about 15 mph does it again motor revs and stops pulling. I shut the boat off and it would not crank back up at first. Finally got it to start then loaded up

I would be beyond mad myself. This is heartbreaking to see any new boat owner have this.

Your post above might be construed to say that they only replaced the V-drive, and then aligned the 'transmission and everything'. Clarify that first. They did not replace the tranny?
        Be excellent to one another.

Yes new transmission. I'm gonna try to make a deal next week on a 2015 Malibu 23LSV we shall see what happens.

I'll probably get crucified for this but I don't blame you and would be doing the same thing. I have to preface this by saying I've never had an issue with my boat so I'm not commenting from experience. However, the amount of owners who posted about issues from 2014 boats on the forum is disheartening.

Did they not water test that boat after installing some major hardware. If not, sounds like you have a dealer problem. Sorry you are having so much trouble gibbs.

This is probably a little too late, but given the recurring trans issues you have had, was the trans cooler ever replaced or flushed? These transmissions are basically like one clutch pack of an automatic transmission in a car & when they fail, the cooler catches the crap. I always replace the cooler when replacing an auto, some people just flush them. If this debris is not removed, it gets dumped directly into the new trans & cause premature failure.

What is the oil level & does the oil look shiny(like glitter)?

Did they scan the ecm? Check and change fuel filters? Seems awful odd that it had trouble starting back up. That alone would send me looking for bad computer or throttle sensors and/or fuel samples. All of those items can make a boat slow down and speed up and sort of feel like a trans slipping. Good service department should be able to tell the difference though. most likely not any of these but was it all checked at least?

Also a side note not too be a pain in the ### but a 2015 Malibu will have the exact same drivetrain. I totally understand your anger and need to move on from this boat but since it appears to be all indmar issues going to a identical indmar in another brand is kinda an odd move...

Had Malibu and Axis in the past no issues. The boat and Indmar are not my issue its the company and the dealers I'm having issues with. Fix my boat and where good don't have me drive 4 hours to a new dealer and keep the boat two weeks and still not fix it. I'm sure I'm gonna be asked to take it back again 4 hours for them to keep it a few more weeks. It's all about service with these boats and why I'm looking to go back to Malibu. My Z1 has been fun and has a great wave but its no good to me in the shop. Last I checked there not making my payments for me.

Just a random thought from insomnia but is there a lemon law for boats as there is cars?? It sounds like this would qualify for it. I'm really sorry to hear you having all these issues and I don't blame you at all for going back to Malibu. but to me the issues now sound like either a computer problems or b two separate issues but I'm gonna lean more towards a computer and that could have been some of your issue all along! But them saying motor mounts loose and all of that sounds more like back peddling to me but I could be wrong. I hope all works out for you whatever way you go!

This is an electronic trans , and quite possibly could be electricle , they need to monitor the shift solenoid while under way and see if it dissengages.

Told me this morning at Tige that they have done all they know to do and want Indmar to look at it next. I'm having so mush fun with my boat.

Ok now that I know it's an electronic controlled I definitely think its computer related and that can at times be very hard to pin point just didn't want to open my mouth until I knew it was electronic sometimes it helps having a new set of eyes on things so indmar coming in maybe a good thing
