As someone who works on all of these engines in multiple installations, I really appreciate the compact, easy to work on nature of the LS series engines. I can still swap spark plugs in a 6.2L DI engine in roughly 20 minutes with common hand tools, how long on the Ford? The other thing that sticks in my craw is the fuel economy thing, I have yet to see a true apples to apples comparison with the same prop. The current standard 2419 vs the older popular 1235 would be like putting identical trucks in front of an 8,000 lb trailer-one with 4.10 gears, the other with 3.45-can you tell me which would be more efficient?
