Alpha Z tower spinner racks not locking

I need help. I have a 2012 RZ2 with the Alpha Z tower and stock spinner racks. I know that these racks will not lock in the inboard position. I have figured out a way to use bungees to prevent them from hitting my boat when I put the tower down. My problem is that they are no longer locking in the outboard (normal) position. Going across the lake with wakeboards in the rack, they will spin inward on their own and almost decapitate anybody sitting in their path. It's come to the point where I have to have any passengers hold the boards in the rack so they dont spin. Obviously the locking mechanism has failed. Does anyone know if I can rebuild the locks or will I need new racks. Thanks for your help.

I had the same problem with my racks a couple of years ago. I took the racks apart and had to chamfer the hole the pin goes into to lock the rack into place.

Same here. I took mine apart and opened up the hole up just a bit. Worked like a charm.

Should add that like posted above, I only opened it up at the top so that it would catch.
