    HELP Phone under motor

    Hey guys

I had a late night last night going to pick up a RZR4 driving thru a tropical storm here in texas and had the engine hatch pop open and the struts break..If that wasnt bad enough while i was looking at the issue i dropped my phone and it went all the way under the motor towards the front. i thought i could pop up the floor access but it seemed as though it was fastened in so i didnt want to pry harder and ruin something. Any help would be appreciated as my phone also has a case that has my license and credit cards in it.

Welcome to the site. Sorry to hear about your problems. If it slid up there maybe it can slide back? Maybe a floor jack under the front trailer jack or quick execration while connected to your tow vehicle?

Sounds about like my kind of luck...

Sorry I can't help with the RZ4 but I'm sure the floor comes up fairly easy.

When you get your phone back, show us some pics of that bad boy.

Don't know about the later year boats but my 2004 24v you have to remove the back seat to lift the floor.

I assume you have tried taking out the locker walls and laying in the locker to try to reach? I can reach pretty far laying on my stomach facing the transom with my arm then reaching down. Maybe call it so you can hear how far forward its fallen.

Its the engine support walls inside your two back compartments. On mine, they just come straight up through the brackets.

On the floor - you can remove the back seat with 3 bolts, then remove the whole back rest with the remaining 3 bolts. Then just pull the floor panel up starting at the motor....again, this is for a '05 22v but maybe that will help a little bit.

What year is the RZ4? That makes a big difference in how to get access to the transmission area.

                RZR or RZ4? What year?

On our 2009 RZ4, to pull up the floor, you first have to remove the seat bottom across the back bench - which requires removing two nuts accessible from the storage area underneath the seat (one on each side). Then remove the fiberglass center section of the seat base - ours was secured with two bolts each side. Then the floor itself had one bolt in the starboard aft corner.
