This gives CC access to Centurion's various innovative technologies, plus a fast track to a value priced product line. Nautique just got bit by the Malibu settlement because they didn't have any comparable intellectual property. (Their famed tower patent expires soon, so no value there.) They weren't equals at the table, nothing to cross-license, nothing to negotiate with. Picking up Centurion fattens their intellectual property portfolio rather nicely. Don't forget that the real basis of Malibu's SurfGate is yaw of the hull ("water deflection plates" notwithstanding), and Centurion's CATS gives them a different way to affect yaw that is backed by Centurion-owned (soon to be CC-owned) patents.

Intellectual property is the name of the game in the wakeboat industry now. If you want to be a serious player, you need to have good IP. CC is buying it today, rather than creating it from scratch and waiting 2-4 years for patents to start issuing. And they get two entry-level brands in the bargain that already buy engines from CC-owned PCM.

Centurion is no longer and entry level brand, I would put my 210 up against my Z1 anytime in quality, in fact I think it's better, as for supreme is a little more cost effective

I wouldn't know the centurion/supreme dealer locally wouldn't even return my phone calls. I had them on the phone once and they just kept telling me how all the other brands are just gimmicky and inferior.

Nautique is a nice boat, no question, but I would much rather by a cottage on the lake , but cc has a a very modern facility down there outside Orlando... It's first class

Why would you only quote the first half of what Dandy said? Nautique pricing can vary quite a bit, and I think some owners are so turned off that they fail to even start negotiating. My experience is pretty close to Dandy's. I have seen Centurion pricing actually come pretty close. And Centurion surely seems to have outbid Tige.

I would say I am not sure Nautique and Centurion is a great marriage, but having Supreme would be a nice something to sell for those not in the Nautique or Centurion budget range.

Excellent news. I like a lot of the Centurion wake technology. What always held me back was the lack of Midwest dealers. Maybe this deal puts Centurion into my region.

And I could only dream that a boat with some combo of NSS, CATS, and Ramfill would ALSO maybe pair with WAboating's Autowake. Is that too much to ask for?

I would suggest its all about controlling the market. Just like the airline industry, once the last mergers were done with American, pricing has gone up 30%+, the surviving airlines are all making money. Too many boat brands, too many competitors can lead to irrational pricing. Fewer players can better manage supply to demand to keep pricing where they can make money. Just my two cents.
