I own a 2012 RZR, same hull as the R20 but the RZR has all the options (alpha z tower, tige touch, ect.) We surf, wake board and ski behind ours and we are extremely happy with the way it performs in all three of those categories. The surf wave is outstanding better than any 20' boat on the market, and rivals some of the larger boats. I added a surf flap to help clean up the wave, in my opinion its a must have modification. My opinion of the wake for boarding is the same as the wave, best in the 20' category. I have the 303 PCM in my boat, I LOVE IT. It has enough power and that thing sips fuel, seriously sips it. I couldn't believe my first trip to the fuel dock, 12 gallons for a whole weekend, I almost fell over. As for the handling in rough water, I keep the front balast full (400#) and 500# in the rear (hard tanks full, 250 each side) set the cruise at 20-22 depending on how rough it is, set the taps at 1-2 and let the cruising begin. It isn't as smooth as a 24 footer but I think it does just fine. These are all just my opinions and some people may argue but I don't care, I LOVE MY RZR!

We have had our 14 RZR since December and can't keep us outta the thing! Soooooo happy we didn't go with a different manufacturer! Our dealer has a Thursday night surf night for anybody and everybody and we have had some folks on our boat that are blown away by the surf wake. Even people that surf in the ocean are seriously impressed with it. I am 100% certain we made the right choice with this boat! Just learning to wakeboard and slalom but the versatility is phenomenal.
