    Well, its official!

Well I have finally become an official member here. I am the proud new owner of a 2006 Tige 22ve.

I want to thank all of the members on here that have replied to my threads and given me advice (lots of it). The amount of knowledge on this forum is huge and I have learned a ton over the last few months.

Back to the boat. It has just over 200 hours and is in great condition. Mechanical inspection and test drive was great.

It doesn't have a ballast system so my first order of business is to get some big sacs for the rear (not sure to go custom or not) and a bag for the bow. I think I will do it manually for the first year then plumb it all in over the winter.

Second order of business is to get an FAE.

Im super excited, I'm trying to keep this a secret from my family and surprise them, but I had to tell SOMEBODY!

Huh? I don't have no secrets....

I'm in the process in combing this site trying to learn about ballast for this boat. There's a lot of posts on the matter. Cant decide between the custom rear locker sacs, the enzo, or just a v-drive jumbo (because they are so much cheaper). Does anybody have an opinion on the matter. Want to order the bags and a couple external pumps to get me going, then automate the system next year.

Talk to Mike, he helped me out a lot when I upgraded the ballast in my RZ4.

I would definitely go custom. Mike just got me set up with a custom surf sac for the port side. It ended up being about 100$ more than then Enzo but fills up every inch of the locker (the Enzo would not have come close). I started out with a jumbo vdrive sac and wish I would have gone custom long ago. A few extra dollars up front makes a huge difference IMO.
