Any idea why it's the only part that stinks, the rest of the carpet is fine, and that is what get the wettest. Hell, my storage lockers are soaked from wet lifejackets, ropes etc, and they dry out just fine in my garage....

Probably because it has rubber backing so the water gets trapped there more than anywhere else. One thing you should probably do is have your carpets steam cleaned once a season. The cleaner usually has some residual benefit when it gets wet again and will help prevent mildew.

Put a single pole swim ladder in the middle of the "fork" in the bow (they make steps that have one main "pole" with steps on either side that fold up for stowage), and build it in a 24 footer and I'm SOLD!!

Is this really an important issue? Not trying to bag on you or anything, as I have read that a lot of people want this. I just don't know if I would ever use a front boarding ladder. Or at least enough to justify needing it.

Maybe it is one of those things that would be really usefull if I had it, but I don't know what I'm missing?

And I agree about the Cell phones....

They even have 12v receptacles so everyone can charge their stupid cell phones. I hate cell phones, but they are a fact of life.
Ok, thumbs up on the cup holders behind the seat backs. As for cell phone charger receptacles, I'd be throwing the phones over the side if it were my boat

I think the reason the snap out stinks is the foam backer. It kind of becomes a sponge, soaking up the water. The interior carpet is glued down and has no foam backer. The water has nothing to soak into since marine carpet itself is nonabsorbent. At least, that's my theory. I pull mine out every time and lay it across the trailer under the bow of the boat. This lets air get to the underside as well.
I have never once pulled the snap out carpet out. No funky smell either. Guess you guys are riding in the Funk!

The Cupholders in the seat backs is one of the things I really dislike about Maliwhos.

Too much non-drink crap gets put in them, and rattles around in there. I.e. cell phones.

I don't notice it so bad with the cupholders on the floor.

                  I'm just kidding

As for batman, I've blocked him from sending me PMs and I'm ignoring any posts he makes. I'm hoping skicrave comes to his senses and boots him off the site or continues to delete his rants.

Put the Bat in the box already.

Don't really need the front ladder but anchor storage would be dialed.

Cubbies in the gunwales are a must.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

There's no place for cubbies, it's all one piece. I think that would cut into the "solidness" of the boat.

Notice the Penske floor as well.

I don't think you need to cut cubbies into the fiberglass, it could just be a fit/finish feature in the actual backrest. Maybe you don't do a cup-holder, but you could at least provide some pockets.

Sorry Nickypoo, I didn't know there was such a problem with the bat. Must be a huge wacko? I won't mention it again.

What hull is that a pic of? Why are there holes in the gunwales?

If I remember correctly, that's a V. Those holes are to make it easier to mount the seatbacks.

Man, I'm busy at work today
