    Lake Amistad

Looking at making a road trip to Lake Amistad in the next few weeks. Anyone have any tips on where to surf or hang out?

I thought I posted some tips a few years ago, I used to live there, it's a fantastic lake. If you can't find that post with a search I'll take some Google screen shots and share it gain.

A really cool spot is up the devils river arm all the way up until the water gets clear. I have only been once but you can see the bottom in about 15 foot of water. It is white limestone I believe. There is also a decent section of cliff that could protect from the wind. This was 6 years ago and I only went once so take that for what it is worth.

Falcon lake is not far from Amistad, and we had a few bodies wash up on the American shores:

Stay on American side and it's smooth sailing, and plenty of water

great pics. Glad you had a good trip.

Consider anchoring off your bow D ring rather than a side cleat.
