Possible soon to be new owner...

So the wife and I both have decided that we really like the 2015 Z3 (little more than we want to spend but it will be a long term ownership thing so we want to get exactly what we both like). The dealership has two boats in stock that we like the color combinations on. Both have the Raptor 400 motor, Surf XL and AVX package. The big difference is the one boat comes with Bimini, upgraded poseidon mat, and Rev tower speakers.

That being said are there any other "must have" option I should be looking for? As far as price is there any type of MSRP on these boats (neither boat had an prices posted at dealer just what the salesman said they cost). I tried to build the same boat on Tige.com but again it does not give you any type of price.

We are not against waiting until fall to buy if it saves us a bunch of money.. your thoughts on that?

A little background on me, I have been boating my whole life but have never owned a V-Drive. We currently own a Yamaha waverunner but it is simply to small and limiting with a family of 4. I live right off a small lake in the Seattle area (lake Sammamish) but we will mainly use the boat at our families summer property on the Columbia river where the water is always smooth. The boat will mainly be used for surfing, tubing, wake boarding, ect.

thank you for any input you have (especially on what pricing should be)!

I just purchased a 2015 Tige Z3 and think its an amazing boat.

I went for the AVX, Surf Xl, upgraded Surf Bimini and the Seadeck and 2 pairs of rev 10s. The poseidon mat is a nice touch as well.

I custom ordered it and got a heck of deal. Mind you that was in February not in peak season.

I understand you want to save your family money but how much is having a boat worth to you for this summer?

I would say you should be able to get a pretty loaded Z3 for the High 80s/Low 90s plus tax

    Good luck

heaters, especially if you're on the Columbia. and Surf bimini. If you can delete the racks I'd do that and get the Samson racks in your choice of finger spacing (surf, wakeboard, etc).

Thank you for your feedback. We are not against waiting until fall but they are telling us the pricing will be the same in fall or at the boat show in spring. The price he gave me on the more loaded boat was 97K but that was just in conversation without any type of haggling. He is going to email me the build sheets on both boats so I can have a better idea of what options they actually have (hard to tell when just looking and not being educated on what is standard vs an option) I will post them once I have them.

        Thank you

If the color is right, I would say you have everything (Bimini, upgraded Poseidon floor mat, and Rev tower speakers). An in stock model from the dealer can be more flexible in price than ordering one.
Driver seat style, steering wheel, 180 degree mirror, bemini with surf pockets, and swivel board racks are something to look into.

Yes I want the "surf pocket bimini" for sure as I want the storage for a couple of boards! I assume they both have heaters but I will confirm when I get the build sheets.

            Thank you

I'd suggest trying to buy from the dealer just north of the boarder if your're allowed and if it's worth it. With the CDN dollar where it is there may be some savings although boats up here are a bit more to begin with. Sammamish to Chilliwack isn't very far.

I have thought of that and even looked at their inventory but they do not have a Z3 that we like the color of. We really want a white base color with silver / gray accent. If we decide to wait It might make sense to special order through them?

                Thanks

BCRider makes a good point! That is based on the dealership purchasing the boat when the us dollar was lower. He probably purchased the boat when it was 15-18% difference in the dollar. Now the dollar is approx 25% difference. This will save you between 10% and 7 % on his in stock boats. If you custom ordered through him now, you would pay the almost the same with buying it in seattle.

I think There is room to bargain.

Shoot me a pm if you have any questions. I am based out of Lake Osoyoos most the year just above Oroville, If you want a ride just let me know and I would be happy to give you a tour!

Things like these can be done at the dealer or after purchase level, so I wouldnt let that be a deal breaker.

Thank you! I hopefully will be able to demo the boat this week with the dealer. I want to agree on a price before a test ride

Redline is a great dealership! They sell a ton of boats every year. If I was in the market they would be my first choice to buy from.

I like the Synteak flooring better than the poseidon mat. The bimini is a great re-sell feature. I wouldn't buy a boat without Rev tower speakers. If you ever need help with your boat once you get it, let me know. I keep my new 2015 RZ2 on Lake Sammamish. I would be happy to take you out if you'd like to test mine as well.
