Bimini-- do you take it down or leave it up

Just wondering if people leave it up or fold it away after each outing when PARKED. I don't do any hiway driving and only 5 min to lake-- max speed 25-30 mph so no prob with it being up when driving. I like to cover boat just so birds or critters try to go inside. Looking at building a boat port for extra protection but not sure if I would still cover boat. I have a travel cover and california cover. Pros, cons, opinions
    Thanks

Take it down if traveling if you plan on driving over 40mph. There is a writeup on here somewhere where a someones kid drove over the 40-50mph range and it destroyed his bimini. It also sounded like the bimini was not covered under warranty either. Others will chime in but do a search and you will see some talk about it on here. If these bimini were like the x5 or so series that they put on the nautiques of supras you'd be good to travel highway speed.

Won't be going over 25-30 mph at any point. Only 4 min to lake. Just don't know if people fold it up when parked and not using it for a few days. Sorry should have stated that

rarely ever use mine, but when the boat is done for the day, it's always folded up. have to as boat won't go in garage without folding tower down.

Mine stays up all summer. Only take it down if trailering at highway speed or just want more sun on the lake. Since mine has storage for boards, it is super handy and rarely ever comes down.

Mine stays rolled up when at home. I have to hit the highway so it always has to come down after a day on the water.

Same here. Every other season I spray on a waterproofing and UV protectant product. This is my off season

The only thing I hate about leaving mine up all the time is the pollen and the bugs! that said, she stays up all season in a covered slip.

Mine stays up when at the lake; comes down for trailering or garage storage. It's tall enough that most people don't see the top and much of the slight discoloration from sun exposure or pollen. She gets a good cleaning once a year (prob should do more but too lazy I guess).

                              Mine stays up 24/7/365.25.

But, it gets rolled up into a boathouse (track with cradle) after every use. Sleeps there in the off season as well...
