Under the carpet??

Does anyone know what substrate is under the carpet on my 1999 21V? The carpet is starting to look a little rough and I would really like to do something new with it. Is there just wood under there, or is it glass? Probably just looking for re-doing the main cabin area for now at least.

It's plywood. Someone on here pulled everything and redid with resin and the tige logo. It was pretty sweet.

Sobs this a fully remove able panel that the existing carpet is wrapped around or is this permanently attached to the ribs and something needs to be adhered directly to it?

You should have both a removable center section and some permanent floor also.

For the permanent floor, is it possible to get that carpet up and clean up the deck? I was thinking about eventually swapping the carpet out for either Deckadence or SeaDek but wasn't sure if there was any issue with the carpet being glued down, etc?

You should not have a problem. Might have to scrape some of the fibers off if the do not all come off when you play tug-of-war with the carpet.

That was a great link but does anyone know a good POC for Deckadence and/or a dealer? I thought I read somewhere that deckadence will no longer deal with customers direct..
